The Mankato MoonDogs offer exciting internship opportunities throughout the summer for students in professional fields related to sports. This unique internship program will give invaluable experience to the student about what it takes to run a baseball club on a daily basis and all the diverse areas that accompany it.
The MoonDogs season is an action-packed, fun-filled 68 game schedule that includes 34 home games with the possibility of additional home playoff games. The internship will begin the middle of May and last until the season’s end, approximately the middle of August. Interns will be expected to work hard and be part of a winning team.
By becoming a part of the Northwoods League, the intern will be able to connect them self to a growing league as they gain valuable experience. Interns have used this experience as a springboard to a professional careers with the Minnesota Wild, Minnesota Twins, Frisco RoughRiders, Minnesota Vikings, Seattle Seahawks, and Washington Redskins to name a few. Several have also become general managers and assistant general managers in the Northwoods League itself.
Interns will work an extremely busy schedule that will vary depending on the MoonDogs’ schedule. The hours will fluctuate based on the amount of home games each week. Obviously, every home game will be a mandatory workday.
